Cynthia J. Easter, MD
Dr. Cynthia J. Easter is a board-certified pediatrician with extensive experience in providing family-centered psychiatric care to children and adolescents in East Tennessee. A Middle Georgia native, she earned the MD from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, GA, and completed her pediatrics residency program at Children’s Hospital at Erlanger (formerly TC Thompson Children’s Hospital)
After completing her residency, Dr. Easter moved to Maryville, her husband’s hometown, and has served as a pediatrician in Blount County since 2007. Dr. Easter rekindled her passion for addressing developmental, behavioral, and mental health issues and focused continuing education on child and adolescent psychiatry. She is dedicated to treating the whole child within the context of family structures and environment.
Dr. Easter has extensive experience evaluating and treating anxiety, depression, attention deficit and hyperactivity, disruptive mood dysregulation, oppositional defiance, behavioral expressions of autism spectrum disorders, and other psychiatric issues. She looks forward to continuing to make a difference in the lives of children and adolescents by helping them achieve and maintain optimal mental health.
Dr. Easter lives in Maryville with her husband and two children. She enjoys spending time with her family, being involved with her church, reading, traveling, and cake decorating.
Linda Cabage, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Linda Cabage is the founder of Bright Star Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Ms. Cabage long held a vision for a practice dedicated to the mental wellness of children in Maryville and East Tennessee and was able to fulfill that dream through an alliance with Dr. Easter.
Ms. Cabage is an advanced practice nurse licensed in Tennessee and a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She also is the owner of Advanced Practice Psychiatry, where she will continue to offer psychiatric care to adults. Ms. Cabage has served as lecturer at the University of Tennessee and adjunct faculty for Vanderbilt University. She is completing a PhD in nursing and has attended specialized research workshops at Duke University and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Ms. Cabage serves as the practice manager and lives in Maryville with her husband, two sons, and two cats. Most of her spare time is spent working on her PhD, but she occasionally slips out to tend to her vegetable garden.
